TOOLS.

In this section we hope to have special tools that are hard to get but very useful for model makers, all these tools are units that I use myself in my model making.

DRAWPLATES.

Here we have a selection of very hard to fid hardened steel drawplates. Available in round hole, square hole, triangular and half round units. Ideal for makinf treenails, fillets, rubbing strakes etc. These units can be sharpened on a good quality oil stone and should always be kept "wetted" with a light oil, they will last a lifetime if looked after.

ROUND HOLE DRAW PLATE.

The first of the draw plates, the round hole unit has 63 holes starting from ones you can hardly see up to over 2.0mm for the largest.

Please note that two drawplates are shown, one to show the front face and the other to show the rear face. Priced at only £ 5.95 each.

SQUARE HOLE DRAWPLATE.

The specification for these are as the round hole units, but obviously with square holes, not round. Priced at £6.99 each.

MINI CUTTERS IN STAINLESS STEEL.

These superb little cutters are make from stainless steel and are sprung loaded with built in stops. They have a curved blade and will access the tightest of area with ease, very sharp they are ideal for snipping of excess thread when fitting rigging, also very useful for cutting card or paper as they do not tend to "rip" the card or paper as some cheaper units do.

I have only ever seen these units on sale in Germany at the famous Dortmund show, they sell there for about 20 euros a pair, I have managed to get a limited number of these units and they are on offer for only £3.50 each.

STAINLESS STEEL SCALPEL HANDLES.

These handles are the two most common sizes available taking akk the standard blades for the specific handle. Though experience I have found that using a scalpel handle for a prolonged perior of several hours at a time, will on occasion turn my hands a light green. This being copper from the standard handle available. I used to whip my handle to try to overcome this and I always wished that stainless steel units would become available, well they now have and I use them all the time to great effect. These handles fit the hand wonderfully and are very light in use

These handles are priced at only £ 2. 50 each, for either a No 3 or No 4 handle, or £4.50 for one of each. Please note I do not sell blades.

JAPANESE RIGGING SHEARS.

These super sharp rigging shears are the bees knees for rigging in tight spaces, simply rest them in the palm of your hand and appy light preassure and they will cut through jusy about any type of cotton or man made thread. Please note that these units are very sharp and they stay sharp for many years, please do not give them to children to play with. I recommend that children using these do so under the stricktest of supervision by a capable adult only. Please note that the body colour may alter from that shown in the picture.

Priced at only £2.00 each.
