Here you will find a large selection of filament bulbs that are used in various forms of model making. We stock a large number of bulbs in various voltages as well as bulb sizes and cable lengths. We also stock polyolefin heat shrink tubing kits, this is the finest type available, far superior to PVC heat shrink that normally tends to split and crack.

GRAIN OF WHEAT FILAMENT BULBS.

Here we have the standard modelling filament bulb, these we can supply in singles or in packs of five with either clear glass envelopes or coloured glass envelopes. These bulbs have a rated drain of 65ma.

GRAIN OF RICE FILAMENT BULBS WITH LONG LEADS.

Here we have the next size down from the standard modelling filament bulb, the grain of wheat bulb. These superb bulbs have low drain charactaristics, the 6.0 volt are rated at 50ma drain and the 12.0 volt bulbs are rated at 30ma drain, these figures are based on the manufacturers figures.

SUB MINITURE FILAMENT BULB, LONG LEAD.

Here we have what must be one of the smallest filament bulbs on the market today. These incredible little bulbs are as bright as a 12.0 volt bulb and only have an 18ma drain for a 3 volt bulb. This is incredible for a bulb of this size.

 NEW SUB - MINITURE 1.5 VOLT BULB.

 Here we have a superb sub - mini 1.5 volt bulb. These bulbs only consume an amazingly low 18ma. The physical size is incredible as can be seen from the picture, the bulb is shown next to a 1.0mm drill bit and as can be seen the envelope is only slightly thicker than the drill bit.

SUB - SUB MINITURE AXIAL BULB.

Here we have what the manufacturers claim to be the smallest working filament bulb in the world, there claim not ours. But in saying that they are probably right. The unit is shown in the picture below against a wooden tooth pick. 1.5 volt 15ma draw, the glass envelope is only 0.7mm in dia ( 30thou ).

NEW! - EXTRA LONG LEAD 12 VOLT GRAIN OF RICE BULBS.

These new bulbs have 500mm long ultra fine leads fitted. They are rated at 10,000 hrs life and only consume 65ma. Though these bulbs are grain of rice they are longer than normal hence they will only fit our larger lamps, ie from 8.0mm upwards. These bulbs are very bright and they do get hot. This must be bourne in mind when fitting these bulbs, we recommend leaving plenty of space around the bulb. If in doubt then test the unit over several hours first as should be done with all bulbs.

POLYOLEFIN HEAT SHRINK TUBING KIT.

Polyolefin heat shrink kit of various colour and sizes of this geniune material.  These kits offer suberb value for money at only £3.00 per kit.

What the kit contains:-

3 metres of 1.6mm black tube.

1 metre of 1.6mm red tube.

1 metre of 1.6mm clear tube.

1 metre of 2.4mm yellow tube.

1 metre of 6.4mm black tube.
